I agree – I hope 88 Films can get the rights to produce an HD release for the Blu-ray Slasher Classics Collection.

Hope to see some more miscellaneous black amaray titles announced soon. The numbered collections are neat and all, but I do look forward to the occasional Orion thriller or Cannon action flick.

That was the ultimate video back in the day.

It has 'extras' on it...did you know that?

Another bonus on those Tartan vhs tapes was the liner notes on the reverse.

Re-Animator and NOTLD had them as well.

Another thing.....I take it the first run of Alice discs didn't have the 'Slasher collection' logo at the top.....mine doesn't.

I had no idea about the extras. No mention on the back of the sleeve. Any idea what they are/were?

The liner notes by Alan Jones are pretty exhaustive. There's a box which mentions a cut scene with a cat. Is this still cut do you know?

The extras at the end of the end credits are (If I remember correctly) a picture gallery set to the creepy theme tune AND the alternate title sequence!
Cutting edge for the days of tape!

So DON'T switch off the VHS before the end credits roll!

They seem to have been reissued as part of the Slasher Classics Collection – the barcode number shows up as a release from several years ago without that designation. I don't know if there is any difference between the discs, but I would be surprised if there was.

This release has a commentary by director Alfred Sole, alternative "Communion" title sequence, original Holy Terror trailer, stills gallery, 88 Films trailer park and reversible Hole Terror artwork.

ALICE SWEET ALICE | British Board of Film Classification

It appears the 88 disc has passed unscathed.....but watching it the other night,I thought the cat death scene was rather quick compared to the ABUS DVD...
That however, may be an age thing.

Can anyone confirm?
