A question from FB: "How would everyone feel if we started doing limited runs of slips for some of our older titles? Say kept them at 150 or 200 for Graduation Day, Night Train Murders, Puppet Master etc. Would you be interested in collecting them?"

Translated into English, this means "How many people are mugs, who would be willing to buy a film they have already got, in exactly the same version, but with a slip case?"

Count me out!

I told them it seemed like a ploy to get customers to buy releases again just for a thin piece of cardboard. Very unimpressed. I'm all for more slipcases going ahead, but retrospective limited editions, count me out. I'm glad Arrow largely stopped with steelbook reissues besides Society

Some people value pieces of cardboard / a full slip-covered collection more than the films, sad to say.

I'm not fussed. I head to HMV and snag the releases for £9.99.
Not bothered in apaying £5 extra for a slip,. Cheap bastard that I am.

The only 88 release I own with a slip is Anthropophagous, and I actually regret paying £20 for the privilege now

I'm more bothered about the film and in some cases, the extras than a piece of cardboard

Yeah Anthro was a bit of a shady transaction as it was £18 from their site as an exclusive release + shipping at the time and then it ended up appearing elsewhere a few months later for half of the price. I suppose they've kind of made amends for that one if you bought into the last Indiegogo campaign, what with getting a copy of the newly remastered version as an extra perk, however for those who bought the original release at the time (myself included) it was a pretty bitter pill to swallow. In fact, I haven't bought anything from their site since (not out of principal just because their prices + shipping are ridiculous compared to Amazon & HMV etc.).

Without looking thru packing cases, I think 'The Toxic Avenger' releases came in slip cases, but they might have been an HMV exclusive
