It's so rare that it happens it always shocks me There is full male nudity in Pieces and I was so surprised by it but Europeans aren't as hung up over nudity full stop. Brits and Americans seem to think penises are corrupt but full bush is ok...

In a bid to stop blind-buying titles and to save the precious space in my apartment I have started renting films from Cinema Paradiso. First up was 88 Films Just Before Dawn and so far the experiment has been a success because I thought the film was awful and I'm glad I never paid £15 for it I've bought so many duds over the last few years. I'll probably give Hellriser a rent as well because this thread has gotten me interested and not because of the previously mentioned boobies.

If so i listened to your commentary on Annie Dyer on Friday night and have to say it was the best and most informative and interesting talk on low budget film making i've ever listened to.

One room, actors who never meet even though they seem to be in the same room. I thought it was so creative.

The Haunting of Annie Dyer DVD is right in front of me and I don't think I've listened to the commentary. Although I didn't particularly rake the film, the commentary does sound like something I'd find interesting, so I might stick it on later today.

I have Footsoldier to watch as well, a DVD I note has a commentary, so will try to watch that, with and without the commentary, this week.

As I mentioned earlier, for whatever reason it's NOT just men who enjoy these movies despite the preponderance of female nudity over male nudity. In fact several members of our cast and crew are from the LGBT community, and you may make of that what you will.

FOOTSOLDIER is a much better movie than "Annie Dyer", its original title is "Survival Instinct" and it's a solid thriller in the veins of Eden Lake.

Someone asked what was the most challenging part of making HELLRISER. I'd say it was the production design, as the whole film was shot on sets so everything had to be built from scratch and there were a lot of weird props and costumes required as well.
