'The Enchanting Ghost' is coming on February 26th

"An early example of Hong Kong horror, THE ENCHANTING GHOST was released in 1970 to critical acclaim and established a future trend for the city's supernatural-themed Oriental fright flicks. Baked in the trademark Shaw Brothers atmospherics, this story of a young scholar who becomes resident in a haunted house, whilst also struggling to instigate a new romance, features some spooky set pieces, a potent aura of lovelorn macabre and a growing sense of ghoulish whimsy. Predating the classic Japanese creeper HOUSE (1977), but featuring some thematic similarities, this ghostly terror tale is a vital addition to any collection of classic Asian cinema - and a vital piece of the Shaw Brothers puzzle which 88 Films is proud to present in spine-tingling HD!!!"

DVD and Blu-Ray are available for Pre-Order in Amazon

Problem is...
A) They don't actually say which titles are going OOP
and
B) They don't say if they are going OOP on DVD, only to be re-released at a later date on Blu-Ray!

"88 Films 26th March Release Announcement #1

Escape From Cannibal Farm (2018) (DVD)

In the British countryside, the Harver family head out on an idyllic summer camping trip where they can bury past tensions and enjoy some family bonding. But when their camp is sabotaged by an unseen intruder in the night, they head to the nearby creepy old farm desperate for help, where vengeful farmer Hunt Hansen and his hideously deformed son aren't farming animals... Caged and waiting for their limbs to be severed, cooked and eaten one at a time, the Harver family must overcome their differences and unite in order to escape alive!"

"88 Films 26th March Release Announcement #2

Dragon Missile (1976) (Dual Format)

If you loved director Meng Hua Ho's awesome game-changing martial arts masterpiece THE FLYING GUILLOTINE (1974) then you will lose your head over his decapitation-packed follow-up THE DRAGON MISSILE (1976). Headlined by the legendary kung-fu icon Lo Lieh (THE 36TH CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN) this brutal tale of rivalry and skullduggery in ancient China packs a potent punch from start to finish. Absolutely crammed full of carnage - the blood flies thick and fast as the 'missile' itself glides across the screen and slices limbs from bodies in this wuxia wonder that is finally on BluRay in all of its HD chopsocky glory! Sit down to THE DRAGON MISSILE and remind yourself why Hong Kong was once at the forefront of world action cinema - for this is a must-have motion picture that positively re-invented the excess of East Asian adventure epics!!!

Includes a limited Slip from 88 Films website"

"88 Films 26th March Release Announcement #3

The One Armed Swordsman (1967) (Dual Format)

It all begins here!!!!

In 1967 the legendary director Chang Cheh (THE BRAVE ARCHER/ BOXER FROM SHANTUNG) established the contemporary wuxia sword-play film. The movie in question, THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN, not only led to several sequels and spin-offs but remains, alongside Bruce Lee's pivotal THE BIG BOSS (1971) and Jackie Chan's DRUNKEN MASTER (1978), possibly the most influential martial arts movie ever imagined! Starring the legendary Jimmy Wang (MASTER OF THE FLYING GUILLOTINE) as a seriously wronged one-limbed loner on a path of vengeance - first time viewers of this eternally iconic motion picture will doubtlessly be taken aback by its blindingly beautiful colour palette and some shocking vicious (and gory) fight sequences. Having not aged one day, it is an eternal sin that THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN still misses out on snotty, sniffy critic lists of the 'best foreign films' ever produced.

See THE ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN, in glorious HD, and witness the beginning of chopsocky cinema. And 88 Asia is proud to bring this endlessly entertaining classic to UK BluRay!

Includes a limited Slip from 88 Films website"
