Btw did u guys know there were plans for a sequel to huminods around the late 80s early 90s? Cant remember if it was being set up at cannon or Golan's 21st century films, but sales art for it does exist. Dont know if it got as far as a plot synopsis or if the poster was all they had before it got axed.

it's not terrible but it is forgettable. Of cannon's early 80's slashers it's better than schizoid but i preferred X-ray to new years evil.

Going back to that almost humanoids sequel, i flicked through that Mindwrap book about the roger corman years of New World and yeah it was set up at Golan's 21st century films and was going to star Malcolm Mcdowell.

Also going back to sony back catalog of 20-30 year old franchises and i forgot that they also have the german Anatomy films. First one i liked but sequel was terrible. Think they still have the rights to the Crimson Rivers movies as well.

The Young Master: Special Deluxe Edition - Pre-order available from Amazon UK - £24.99

Release date: January 25th

Jackie Chan was already a star when he made The Young Master but this film took him to another level. He plays 'Dragon' who undertakes a mission to find his missing brother, and gets into plenty of scrapes along the way – not least being mistaken for a criminal that the authorities are very keen to put behind bars....

The Young Master was Jackie's second film as director, and he used it as a showcase to demonstrate just what he could do. And it remains a firm favourite of the fans, featuring some of the best set-pieces he ever cooked up. The black-belts at 88 Films are thrilled to present the UK Blu-ray premier of this true Hong Kong classic.

This very special edition features a limited edition Rigid Slipcase, an 80 page perfect bound book with contributions from Tim Murray, William Blaik and James Oliver, a premium fold-out poster and 6 lobby cards.

We are including 3 cuts across 2 discs:
The Hong Kong Cut
The Export Cut
The Extended Export Cut

With multiple audio tracks, remastered subtitles, amazing new Artwork from Kung Fu Bob and loads of new special features make sure to pre-order your copy now!

Darkroom - Pre-order available from Amazon UK - £14.99

Release date: January 25th

"Opening with a brutal double axe murder by an unknown murderer, no one can say Darkroom doesn't start as it means to go on – a tough, gory thriller that's equal parts nail-biting mystery and gruesome slasher. Who is this mad killer, that photographs their victims as they die (horribly, of course) – and what drives them to kill?

Darkroom was produced by Niko Mastorakis, creator of the infamously depraved video nasty Island of Death – and more than lives up to its predecessor. 88 Films are proud to present this lost classic of 80s splatter.
"

Special features:
  • Limited Edition Slipcase
  • 4 Collectible Postcards
  • 4K Remaster from the Original Negatives

  • “Exposing the Truth” - An Interview with Actor Jeff Arbaugh
  • Original Trailer
  • Stills Gallery
