The blu-ray release is a very nice clear picture and perfect sound quality.

I'm asking because the sole Amazon review, a verified purchase, claims the audio on The Sex Thief is a mess. Keeps going from loud to quiet and vice versa all the time.

Can anyone verify this?
Not watched any yet.

Stephen won't be pleased-it's the slim card digipaks ala Bloody Terror and Fu Manchu PH sets......

When I went into my HMV, I was shocked that Mardi Gras Massacre was out.

I was even more pleasantly shocked that I didn't buy it. Normally I wouldn't be able to resist lol.

Luckily I remembered that I have not seen any positive reviews for that Film.

Granted I bought Cannibal Terror but I had only just bought my Blu-Ray Player that day, it was on a offer and it had some interesting Extras

I think that you may live to regret your purchase of Cannibal Terror! I'm sure that the 88 Films release is a good one, but the film itself is very poor indeed. And I say that as someone who enjoys bad films!

According to DVDCompare, the UK cinema version of 'Au Pair Girls' contained in the 'saucy 70's' set is cut!

"'Au Pair Girls' - Blu-ray 'B Saucy 70s! A British Sex Comedy Threesome' United Kingdom- 88 Films

Cuts: Yes - The UK cinema version as cut by 1:13 by the BBFC:

- From 36:37, Anita (Astrid Frank) places a full length mirror on the floor of her bedroom. 0:06 is then cut of her standing over it, looking down at herself, whilst wearing a gown cut from below, up to her navel (and wearing not alot underneath - as seen earlier in both versions). Here, after placing the mirror on the floor, there is a 0:03 substitution exterior shot of a car. Cutting back to the bedroom, both versions resume with her stepping around the mirror to look out of the window, after hearing the sound of a car outside (not seen in the uncut version). So 0:03 cut.

- From 63:14, Ricky (Steve Patterson) is dancing with Christa (Nancie Wait) and smoking a joint. 0:10 is cut of him handing her the joint, which she smokes and then hands back to him, at which point the cut version resumes as the uncut with him holding the joint.

- From 66:06, the sex scene between Ricky and Christa, which should take 4:03 is cut by 1:06, with 0:06 substitution for continuity, a net 1:00 cut. The cuts are to simulated oral sex (Ricky on Christa), Christa astride Ricky (there is a non-consensual element throughout the whole scene in the cut version, but in the uncut one she is clearly enjoying herself). After they have finished, a second man enters (Buster, played by John Standing) and has sex with Christa. Here there are cuts to the initial struggle between them, this time to make it appear less like rape (84:29)"

You haven't bothered to say that every other version on Blu-ray is also cut though, which they are.

These sound very much like the Extended scenes for the Export Version, which are included as extras on 88’s Blu ray edition !

Yeah, I only bought Cannibal Terror for the Documentary on Eurocine.

Mardi Gras Massacre doesn't have the extras to make me want to buy it.

I didn't realise that there was a documentary on Eurocine on that disc. I have to admit that the disc is probably worth getting for that alone, so I may now pick it up if I see it at a cheap price.
