Mr. Humphreys and His Inheritance

Possibly one of the rarest of the still-existing M.R. James adapations, this was made for the ITV Schools slot as a casebook example on how to use music in drama to evoke emotional response."

I would be really interested in seeing this

When I was at junior school in Winchester (circa 1973 - 1976), I clearly remember being shown a television programme during class which was about the importance of music in films and TV shows, and I am wondering if this is what I saw

Bloody hell. Nos. You went for The Power Game.

Nice one.

Hope you enjoy it as much as i did. Try and read up on The Plane Makers first if you can. It's how Wymark's John Wilder character went from being the boss of an airline building company to the corridors of Power in London.

I didn't think I could go far wrong with nearly 40 hours of highly regarded TV for £10. I did read about The Power Game and The Plane Makers yesterday and they both sound like pretty interesting and historically significant TV shows.

Knowing I have so many TV shows to watch, I watched one disc from the Thriller boxset I bought two years ago. It's three hours of really well written and acted TV, and three episodes with neatly disguised and impactful endings.

Great haul. Seeing that dvd of Talk Radio (which I also have), that’s one film in need of a special edition.

I was surprised that Revenge, although part of The British Film collection has a standard size case. Presumably to hold the booklet more comfortably.
