I've wanted the Edgar Wallace box set for a while. Not sure i'd be able to afford it even if they do have it on sale, sadly. Why can't the world have a Black Thursday in February or something!

Totally agree. I got my Christmas gifts out of the way early this year hoping to save a bit during November and December.

It ain't going to happen though.

Well a few episodes do. It's going to cost about £60 for the series.

You want quality then you pays the price. Besides no ones forcing anyone to buy it.

True. Is the dvd so bad it needs upgrading that much though? I have it but i haven't even unwrapped it yet.

I mean UFO looks shit hot on dvd. I wouldn't spend an extra £70 upgrading it to blu.

No the DVD is fine looking, but that does not stop companies upgrading there products,I mean does world really need 4k? Yet we are getting films re-released like Goodfellas in 4k blu Ray. Im happy to upgrade....at least its better than downloading everything.

I saw this announcement the other day. I was initially intrigued as although I haven't watched it in years I used to love this show. It seems though that not only are network only releasing it in individual 4 episode volumes but they are dropping any extras from the dvd's in the transition and are being a little reticent in confirming whether they will actually be releasing a complete series Boxset at all.

Just been reading a few comments on Networks site, iit was pointed out that The Sweeney Blu Ray release was pulled after only releaseing series one on Blu,I wonder if this was down to poor sales or incompetance.Hopefuly this will not happen with R & H.
