Completely new to me. It's not a kids show in any true sense. It's quite eerie.

There are quite a few excellent so called kids series.

The Owl Service is another. Very wyrd England.

I concur about The Owl Service and Children of the Stones, they're both excellent and with 12 certs they're a bit scarier than you'd see in CITV these days. Series 1 of Shadows is worth picking up as well.

That's the one with a girl who either time travels or is able to communicate and walk around, with children from many years ago, isn't it? If it is, I think I rented it from Lovefilm late it late last year and thought it was really good.

No, it's about a town where everyone is good and conforms to society, a new lad comes to town and senses he's different and it turns out to be some sort of pagan ritual cult devoted to the moon and relating to the stones around the town.

I've not explained it very well, but it's not the one you're thinking of
