There's a Vintage Classics promotion over at HMV at the moment.

https://store.hmv.com/store/film-tv/vintage-classics

Don't buy Peeping Tom as that's getting a new restoration.

All i'm saying is this. Three years ago our resident genre label expert Rob4 advised me not to buy the Screenbound dvd of Day of the Triffids as there was a brand new restoration imminent.

Three years later i'm still waiting for the new restoration and three years later i wouldn't yet have seen the original movie version of Day of the Triffids.

Just saying.

Did I really say that..? I definitely said it was being restored but can't remember attaching it to a label. It's well known that DotT appears to be in some sort of limbo now

The info regarding Peeping Tom came from the Criterion forum and I'm guessing the informant was referencing this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VpuP_QX3LU

It could of course be referencing the previous release but I think its worth holding off in the short term.

"our resident genre label expert" I like that I'm going to put the letters ORGLE on my business card and flash it around like I'm in American Psycho

I ordered Fright, The Wicker Man (Fifth copy of this i'll own) and School for Scoundrels this morning from the Vintage Classics Collection.

I did fancy Hobson's Choice but it seems there are issues with some discs not actually playing.
