Look at that magnificent original artwork.

Then imagine the vomit inducing mess it would have if it were released by a British label.

'Village of the Giants' (1965) - Blu-Ray pre-order available from Amazon US - $24.95

Release date: February 22nd

"A small town runs into big problems when teenagers hit a growth spurt, turn into gallivanting Goliaths, lead an anti-elder rebellion and terrify anyone under seven feet tall!

Featuring Hollywood teen stars Tommy Kirk (The Shaggy Dog), Johnny Crawford (TV’s The Rifleman), Ron Howard (TV’s Happy Days) and Beau Bridges (The Landlord), this fantastic, effects-laden tale delivers gargantuan, sexy entertainment loaded with rock ‘n’ roll

Eleven-year-old Genius (Howard) mixes up some super-goo with his chemistry set, turning cats and ducks into giants. When a group of wild teenagers see the results, they gobble it up too and turn into towering tyrants, challenging adults and making mayhem while the world desperately searches for an anti-teen antidote

It’s the teen scene you’ve never seen—from cult legend Bert I. Gordon, the director of The Cyclops, The Amazing Colossal Man, Attack of the Puppet People, The Magic Sword and Picture Mommy Dead. The stellar cast includes Joe Turkel (The Shining), Joy Harmon (Cool Hand Luke), Tisha Sterling (Coogan’s Bluff) and Toni Basil (Easy Rider)."

I see Kino's new 4K release of Hard Target is fooked. The 5.1 track is reversed on the left & right channels. Needlesz to say it's now unavailable while they fix the issue.

"In this acclaimed biopic from director Miloš Forman (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus), Jim Carrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) disappears into the role of the late Andy Kaufman — considered the most innovative, eccentric and enigmatic comic of his time. A master at manipulating audiences, Kaufman could generate belly laughs, stony silences, tears or brawls. Whether inviting the audience out for milk and cookies or challenging women to intergender wrestling matches, he specialized in creating performances so real that even his close friends were never sure where the truth lay. Also starring Danny DeVito (Get Shorty) as Kaufman’s manager, Courtney Love (The People vs. Larry Flynt) as the woman Andy falls in love with and Paul Giamatti (Sideways) as his best friend. You’ll stand up and cheer for Carrey’s hilariously uncanny performance that “may be a better Andy Kaufman than Andy Kaufman” (Newsweek)."
