There are loads of happy people who are going to buy that set, but the 1st one was 6000 and this new one is 3000 units, so while the first one will still be work a few quid the residue is going to be £30 when they do the next sale. I still won't but it though because I just paid 3 for £30 a month ago to buy the individual ones haha

I've not scoured the extras yet but what's the difference? Not being dual format is the only thing that jumps out.

I think just being Blu-ray only, and the "belly band" as they call it is a different design to differentiate them.

I buy LEs because I want the item not because I think it might be more valuable than another release or because by possessing it I've one-upped someone who doesn't have it. I don't have any beef with re-issues. As someone has said it happens all the time in the vinyl world.

Without intentionally being contrary I don't much like the idea of limited editions. I'd rather a label release the best edition they can and that just be THE edition. But if I do buy one then i expect it to be what it bloody says on the tin not just a gimic to sell a product faster. Only other example I can think of in the dvd/blu world is Arrows releases of Hell Comes To Frogtown and that other one they released at the same time that everyone hates. (for the life of me can't think of the title). That said Hell Comes To Frogtown should have been far far more limited.

I'm happy enough with the limited editions followed by standard releases.

Although when it takes an age for a limited edition to sell out it becomes annoying when there's no standard release. Thinking of some of 88's titles here.

The belly band(?) was on the original release. As far as i can tell dropping the dvds is the only difference. Don't get me wrong Justin, I don't mean to suggest anyone else should be deprived of this edition. Just don't like the idea that something is promoted as limited, meaning a customer who wants said edition needs to get a wiggle on and fork out only to find said item is mystically re-available again a few years later. Means the "limited edition buy now" push was just bollywollocks. I'd sooner see the original boxset be totally unlimited and £10 cheaper. Therefore everyone including Barry could buy it in there own time and pay less.

I'm only guessing but I'm thinking the belly band won't be numbered to distinguish it from the previous run?

I'm not sure its going to be a big seller myself? The original run took a while to sell out didn't it?

It says limited edition of 3000 at least three times on the product page. I bet it is numbered.
