When it comes down to it i'll probably end up getting The standard edition of The Devil's Men in a future sale.

Being an Indicator release, I’m sure it definitely will be worth the upgrade from dvd.

I watched their releases of The Gorgon and Charley Varrick last night. Two beautiful looking films.

PH titles are always worth the upgrade.

I watched Charley Varrick knowing nothing about it and thought it was excellent, quite brutal and almost offhand in ways, but gripping all the way through.

Yeah. i hadn't seen it before. I bought it purely because it sounded good and happily it was a bit of a gem.

Inside the Charley Varrick disc are images of other Powerhouse titles and one of them is Badge 373. However it's not listed on their website.

Has Badge 373 never been released?

Edit - Never mind. It's still a limited edition two years after release. Mustn't have been a big seller.

They are definitely one of the top labels out there - their presentations of Hammer Films are superb. I wish they had the rights to Hammer’s entire back catalogue!
Great to see more UK titles on the way, as indicated ( see what I did there? ) by Michael on this forum recently.

Powerhouse send a newsletter saying their 5 for £40 offer is now 100+ titles including limited editions and you can't access their site because it's down.

£8 a disc is great value for the LEs. Most of the ones in the offer are their slowest sellers but one or two like Bellman & True and Young Winston, as far as I can tell, have sold relatively well.

As a marketing strategy I'm guessing that a sellout of the LE puts the title into profit and then any standard edition sales are all sauce? Although, slow sales and discounts, I suspect, plays havoc with the cash-flow?
