I watched The Devil's Men last night. Enjoyed it more than previous viewings. Helps to have a nice transfer of it.

Not sure where the strong sex was as mentioned by the BBFC though.

Nice if they could release Bloodsuckers soon.

I think that description comes from when it was passed 15 in 2004 - probably a mistake.

It depends on how you define "strong", really, but there's full-frontal female nudity and softcore copulation of a kind that probably single-handedly got the film its X certificate in 1976, and which was unsurprisingly removed from the PG-rated Land of the Minotaur cut. (This is a rare instance of a film where the British cut is more graphic than the US one!)

All the interiors were shot on analogue videotape, with the exteriors on 35mm - see the restoration featurette for a more detailed explanation.

Ahh that explains it.

Still doesn’t detract from the enjoyment of the film.

When you see the ending,it’s kind of appropriate.....

Quite fancy The Phantom of the Monastery and plan to get the limited edition but that recent godawful Curse of Llorona put me off anything to do with La Llorona forever.

Perhaps someone can sell it to me. Is it wonderfully atmospheric and supremely creepy?

Good atmosphere and modern take on the urban legend watched it twice since its release and still found it rubbish.

The only one I saw was the 2019 release and that was plenty for me.
