Of course, yes.

They did but the Amazon pre-orders spoiled the surprise last night so they moved it forward.

I can confirm what Justin101 said: Amazon leaked specs last night, and there was no particular reason not to go live 24 hours early, so the newsletter was released first thing this morning.

Yes, Sony calls the shots throughout. Their film, their rules. I don't know what deal they signed with HMV, but presumably if it hasn't expired already it will have done by November - and a six-month exclusivity window sounds highly plausible.

It's Diane Cilento but I don't know if she was in any Hammer films.

But the box may well end up containing exactly the same disc, although that's no great hardship: I don't recall anything being particularly wrong with it.

Powerhouse have just confirmed on Facebook that their Jason will indeed be exactly the same disc as was sold by HMV, at least in terms
of the machine-readable side.

As with Arrow's deal with MGM that allowed them to include the already-released Annie Hall and Manhattan in their Woody Allen boxes, Sony was only prepared to let them redistribute the pre-existing disc, not to author a rival edition. But that's fair enough.
