Captain Clegg is great. Think I preferred doctor syn of the 2 adaptations (but it's been a while since I last saw that version)

I wouldn't say Phantom is dismal or boring.
Herbert Lom is always a joy to watch.

I'd have gone for this set myself. But i think Phantom of the Opera is dismal. I'm talking Woman in Black 2 as the only horror they released that i dislike more.

A box set of the other four Rob mentioned will be a definite purchase.
You made the jump to Blu Ray?

I wish we could. 1999 was a pretty good year with me plus the mother of all parties at the end of it.

Still so many films coming out on dvd only which is a shame.

It's even worse than that. So many films that haven't even seen a dvd release and the last time they saw the light of day was on laserdisc....or vhs.

They are probably too niche for most buyers today but there were a hell of a lot of 'thrillers' released in the late 80's and 90's that i'd like to see released.

Films such as Sins of the Night with Deborah Shelton, Silhouette starring Tracy Scoggins and In the Heat of Passion with Sally Kirkland. I can't see any of them getting a release on disc now sadly.

I'm pretty sure they aren't up Powerhouse's street anyway.

There have been over 1000 horror movies produced since the year 2000 in the UK alone. Imagine if they were all released on home media - who'd buy them? Who'd have time to watch them?

Anyway in lieu of releases you can always read about them!

This dismissive answer will come back to haunt you, Rob. The next time you lament about something not being available. - You can always read about it.
