It's annoying isn't it. I did something similar with Mindwarp (£16) then reduced to £11 by Eureka a week or so later in their sale.

It happens, those individual Sinbad films are £6.99 each in the sale too so we've all spent money that we didn't need to. Last week I bought Xtro in HMV for £13 and then I got to CEX and they had a pristine copy for £8 in there which was annoying but hey ho

My Eureka sale order hasn't arrived by the way, it was dispatched last week, going to email them now.

I'm disappointed there's a reissue because I bought what was supposed to be a limited edition first time round. Limited should mean limited.
On the plus side £6.99 is a bargain for some of those standard editions.

It's a different version so collectors will still favour the original over the re-issue, as is the case with other things where this happens such as vinyl LPs. But it means that people can now buy it direct from the distributor and not pay £120-150 on the secondary market.

Just been having a similar conversation with a mate on the phone. He bought the Sinbad set when it first came out and was pretty pissed off when it had been re-released.

We eventually decided it would probably be in the next sale as you could buy the individual films for less than half the price of the new box set and those that wanted the box set would probably already have it first time around.
