Warner released it on vhs in the UK but it hasn't had a dvd release at all. I know Anchor Bay released it Stateside in the early dvd days but as far as i'm aware every other release has been grey market.

Although i have books from the likes of Marcus Hearn and Jonathan Rigby that discuss the film at length they don't go into who actually can release it on dvd.

as i understand it there was a brief time when it went public domain but i think WB then reasserted their copyright, at least in the states anyway.

in the US, just this year, there was an attempt to release it under Dracula and his Vampire Bride but i think it was quickly closed down although i heard some copies got onto the market.

Hopefully it will end up in the Premium Collection. I'm sure it would be a decent seller as people who wanted it on blu would buy it also those who are still dvd only.

i would love a copy of the Satanic Rites of dracula as well. i only have it on Vhs when i taped off bbc2 it in the 1980's. and i cant even watch that because my player eats up the tapes now.

I see a pattern here mate. If I was you i’d hold off getting the WA disc of The Swarm, etc.

I wonder if there's any hope for Eyes of A Stranger and Deadly Friend! I have held off buying the US dvds in case Blu-ray editions get announced.
