Great to see 4 releases lined up like the old days, hopefully we'll be back on track now after a little bit of downtime.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

release date 18 October

An unusual one for the PC as it's a TV Movie...

If I can resist the temptation not to get them before them, I'll buy all four when the offer drops to 2 for £15. I don't have any of them on Blu-ray and, like you, really want a decent release of The Shop around the Corner – the only version I have is a South Korean DVD of dubious legitimacy.

I really like that, just got a foreign copy, so might have to pick this up at some point.

I have it as a standalone disc with extras as part of two TCM dvd releases. One is a James Stewart set which also includes The FBI Story, Spirit of St. Louis and The Stratton Story.

Whilst the other is a Christmas Holiday Classics collection with Christmas in Connecticut , A Christmas Carol (1938) and the utterly wonderful It Happened on 5th Avenue.

All the films have extras such as commentaries and docs but i'd still love Shop and also It Happened One Night on Blu-ray. Looking at the prices they are obviously out of print as they are priced at £68 each whereas i paid around £8 delivered.

Those TCM four film sets were a cheap way to get hold of loads of good films on great discs at low prices back in the day. I have around ten of them mainly star related such as Bogart, Cagney, Stewart, Lancaster, Davis and so on.
