I bought the Criterion Collection Blu-ray release of It Happened One Night for £9.99 – it's a superb disc which I highly recommend.

My mistake. I started by saying the correct title of It Happened on Fifth Avenue then called it It Happened One Night later. Losing myself there.

It's It Happened on Fifth Avenue that i'd really like on blu-ray,

All the films have extras such as commentaries and docs but i'd still love Shop and also It Happened One Night on Blu-ray. Looking at the prices they are obviously out of print as they are priced at £68 each whereas i paid around £8 delivered.

Those TCM four film sets were a cheap way to get hold of loads of good films on great discs at low prices back in the day. I have around ten of them mainly star related such as Bogart, Cagney, Stewart, Lancaster, Davis and so on.
I have both of those DVD collections as well, in addition to quite a number of those TCM sets, and I agree with you that It Happened on 5th Avenue is a beauty.

It's funny to see Murder, My Sweet and Possessed in that horror selection.

'Running On Empty' (1988) - Pre-order available from HMV direct - £14:99

Release date: March 7

"After anti-war activists Annie and Arthur Pope (Christine Lahti and Judd Hirsch) blew up a napalm lab in 1971, they became lifelong fugitives. They and their children have stayed just one step ahead of the law, running from state to state, job to job, identity to identity. But now elder son Danny (River Phoenix) wants to stop running from a past not his. And to do so, he might never see his on-the-lam family again

Directed by Sidney Lumet from Naomi Foner's Golden Globe Award-winning screenplay, this powerful, bittersweet movie also stars Martha Plimpton and Steven Hill, and earned acting honors for the emotional performances of Lahti (Los Angeles Film Critics Best Actress Award) and Phoenix (named Best Supporting Actor by the National Board of Review)."
