There seems to be a new company in the game. Black House Films. Just noticed three new releases from them.

Seems to be dvd only at the moment.

Loving the original artwork covers. Makes me want to buy Man with the Severed Head again.

Going off the artwork here they seem to have another label known as Maison Rouge.

Is it an Arrow off shoot? Anyone know anything?

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 20th January 2017 04:20 PM

Have you heard of them before, Reaper?

Susan Foreman 20th January 2017 04:24 PM

Maison Rouge is a French hotel chain!!!!!

I know nothing about either label. A google search brings up nothing, and there is no mention on FB either

Rob4 20th January 2017 04:39 PM

the first 3 titles i think are from French studio Eurocine and were released (on Blu) by Redemption in US.

The label? No.

Looks a bit 23rd Century to me.....:twitch:

I may be entirely wrong though....

Susan Foreman 25th January 2017 07:38 PM

Apparently the version of 'The Bare Breasted Countess' is going to be fully uncut

However, it's the softcore version and not the hardcore one

Release date March 6th

trebor8273 25th January 2017 09:01 PM

I wish them luck but not going buy any if DVD only.

You buy anything and everything.

Its strange I'll happily pay 10-15 for a blu ray but really won't pay anything more than about £8 for a DVD don't ask me why. Its different with TV shows which I can get something a lot cheaper on DVD I will. Also with cult stuff like this I think you would get more sales with a HD version.

but will pay the extra for blu ray. Also with cult stuff like this I think you would get more sales with a HD version.

I'll probably get Oasis of the Zombies as i've never owned it, also one of those Ilsa titles i need to research as all these films seem to have five alternate titles and i'm not sure if i own it or not.

Will have to be under a tenner for any of them though.

Susan Foreman 29th January 2017 05:19 PM

Apparently 'Zombie Lake' has been passed '18' uncut

It's up for pre-order at Amazon - £9:99

Release date March 20th

Its actually Elsa, not Isla. I'm pretty sure its your typical shoddy Eurocine production.

I quite like Eurocine productions. Love their Nazi WIP stuff. Even if it's a case of seen one seen em' all as footage is recycled from film to film.

I really wouldn't bother Dem - OASIS makes ZOMBIE LAKE look like a masterpiece *

*Actually it doesn't - but it's still shit.

The old Filmland video had such an alluring cover for a young impressionable 420, but even back then I knew it was terrible.

Demdike@Cult Labs 31st January 2017 01:06 PM

These films are being released by Screenbound.

It's their new label for Euro horror.

The price will no doubt drop before release, but yes £12.99 is a bit steep. I paid less than £10 for my US import Blu-ray (including postage) a few years ago.

Screenshots are often expensive but if you are patient they can be picked up at under 8 in a Classic Films Direct Sale. Subscribe to the catalogue to keep up to date with sale items as there are usually a few every month.

I really dislike Classic Films Direct. Their website is appalling. Not being able to order copies of films that aren't in stock is pointless.

yep. Who the hell has a sale and only has one or two copies for sale, why even bother!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 17th February 2017 10:16 AM

I don't even look at their weak excuses for sales anymore as the one copy they have in stock of the one item they are promoting will be gone by the time I look at their site anyway.

Demdike@Cult Labs 22nd February 2017 03:48 PM

This has been listed for release in a couple of months.

I only saw the Arrow version the other week. It's truly awful. The worst Franco film i own...and i have around forty of them.

Demdike@Cult Labs 7th June 2017 02:31 PM

Some more Euro classics.

BAKA 16th August 2017 12:34 PM

They're finally releasing some of this stuff on Blu-ray now. Noticed Cold Eyes Of Fear and Black Magic Rites both slated for October.

Susan Foreman 24th August 2017 04:21 PM

Former video nasty 'Women Behind Bars' is coming on September 11th

Apparently it's now passed 18 uncut for strong sex, nudity, sexualised violence
