The Dungeon - VIPCO

Everything about this film, from the story, PQ, acting, the lot, is awful.
Definetly the worst i've seen, EVER !

Same with their release of Skinned Alive.

The picture was awful on many of the hardgore titles.
Got to agree with Tartans Bride of Re-animator. I waited for years to buy it on DVD and the sound quality is ridiculous.

I agree with Hardgore titles as well, although I only ever bought those from poundland so wasn't that bothered.

There's many an indie film I've bought that look like they have gone out of their way to make whatever transfer they have done really terrible.

I'd say Charade too.I have the excellent Criterion dvd but got a free copy in one of the newpapers and couldn't believe how bad it looked.A film of Charade's calibre looking like a 5th generation pirate copy.

I have read about awful quality copies of Horror Express doing the rounds. The copy I have at the moment is pretty rough looking but certainly not unwatchable (the Cinema Club/2 Entertain DVD).

The Sunday Express freebie was the one I had too. Amazingly it was a direct port of the then-retail disc from SFH. Just atrocious.

The freebie of Gregory's Girl was also a bad VHS transfer though at the time there didn't seem to be a decent print of it anywhere. On the whole newspaper promos have been pretty good, and the current batch of freebie films have featured the retail Paramount discs (including extras).

VIPCO'S "Death Screams"- as they managed to mess up the order of scenes (!), so the movie didn't rally make a whole lot of sense any more.

A lot of early Scandinavian DVD releases from "Scanbox" and "Egmont"/"Nordisk Film", which often had forced subs

A lot of German DVD releases from "Laser Paradise", which feature bad VHS quality pq and German audio only.
