My copy of Rider On The Rain was shipped from Play.com yesterday, so it should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

Super Happy

Just grabbed Optimum's DVD versions of the first three Rambo films and i refuse to buy the Blu-Ray editions as they all feature the same extra and i find no reason whatsoever why the bonus material present on the DVDs could not be replicated for it's Blu-Ray counterparts.
A typical U.K. rip-off just like we often have to suffer with DVD.

Does anybody know if Optimum's Rambo III DVD is uncut as according to DVD Compare the British Blu-Ray is complete and because i'm assuming the company may have used the same transfer for DVD release then in theory this version should be intact.

I know Momentum's earlier DVD of RIII is trimmed but has the same fate befell Optimum's equivalent?

The cut was to a cruel horsefall so i doubt it has been restored to the Optimum disc.

Well it was only 2 seconds anyway according to DVD Compare so it's no great loss i suppose!

The Optimum release is the same print as the Momentum. It wasn't worth them submitting the full version, as the same cut would be required again.

The BBFC cuts list to the old cinema & video prints is absolutely enormous.

Yes the DVD horsefall cut is near the end of the film. Barely noticeable.

Watched my RIDER ON THE RAIN over the weekend, and I'm glad to report that it was FANTASTIC to see this great little thriller finally decently framed and in crystal digital clarity. After years of watching it on VHS and shoddy quality 'DVD'S',Optimum have once again done a sterling job!

When starting both versions of Rider On The Rain did you get a loud noise coming from your DVD player, which was still there after skipping a few chapters?
