They looked pretty good on dvd anyway upscaled. The blu should look even better.

With some horror i'm not convinced being absolutely pristine always works. Take for example The Slayer. I've kept my VIPCO dvd as the occasional strange lines down the picture actually add to the eeriness of the film. The Arrow blu may look lovely but it's a very sterile viewing experience i think. I was really disappointed when i saw the very clean print on dvd in the dual formay version.

I've still got the R1 DVDs with the 3D sleeves. I am quite happy with those releases.

I reckon i watch two or three of the first eight films every year so thought they were worth the upgrade to blu at what worked out at under £4 a film.

I'm useless at searching. I can't find a UK set for Friday the 13th on bluray! Tried HMV and Amazon.

Link anyone?

It's possibly out of print though.
I have the US version here, it's exactly the same (minus the BBFC badges) and it's yours for £20 if you want it? Or anyone else for that matter.

Thanks for the link and the offer but I think I'll wait for a reasonably priced release that contains the Scream transfers.

'Better Luck Tomorrow' (2003) - Coming to Blu-Ray from Paramount Pictures

Release date: June 1

"Never underestimate an overachiever. To his classmates and teachers, high-schooler Ben Manibag (Parry Shen) appears to be the "model" student: a perfectionist and overachiever, destined for nothing less than graduating at the top of his class and then attending a prestigious college

But underneath this persona is a darker side -- Ben and his bored high-school buddies lead double lives, flying high in a world of petty crime and material excess in order to ease the pressures of "being perfect"

It's a free-wheeling lifestyle that soon takes a downward spiral, leading to an unexpected end

An Official Selection at the Sundance Film Festival, Better Luck Tomorrow is a gripping, edgy and provocative film that rips the tranquil, well-manicured facade off of middle-class suburbia and cultural stereotypes."
