'Pretty In Pink' is up for pre-order at Amazon US - $29.99

Release date: June 16

"A newly remastered Blu-ray, from a 4K film transfer supervised by director Howard Deutch, Pretty in Pink looks prettier than ever. Teen sensations Molly Ringwald (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club) and Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire) drew rave reviews for their starring performances in this hit love story produced and written by John Hughes (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles ). Andie is a high school girl from the other side of town. Blane’s the wealthy heartthrob who asks her to the prom. But as fast as their romance builds, it’s threatened by the painful reality of peer pressure. From its bittersweet story to its hip New Wave soundtrack, the film features great supporting performances from Harry Dean Stanton, Jon Cryer, James Spader and Annie Potts. "

SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • FILMMAKER FOCUS: Director Howard Deutch on Pretty in Pink
  • Isolated Score
  • THE LOST DANCE: The Original Ending

'On a Clear Day You Can See Forever' (1970) - Coming to Blu-Ray on May 26th

Pre-order available at Amazon US - $19.99

"Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of a classic, for the first time on Blu-ray. The talents of acclaimed director Vincente Minnelli (Meet Me in St. Louis, An American In Paris) and legend Barbra Streisand combine to bring this Broadway production to the screen in grand fashion. Streisand is Daisy Gamble, a kooky chain-smoker desperate to kick the habit. She finds the perfect cure in the form of Dr. Marc Chabot (Yves Montand), a psychiatrist who uses hypnosis. However, when Daisy goes into a trance, she can regress into past lives and different personalities—including "Melinda," a 19th-century English coquette. And before you can say amour, Dr. Marc has fallen in love with the enthralling, elusive Melinda... while Daisy, in turn, finds herself falling head-over-heels for the handsome hypnotist! Bob Newhart and Jack Nicholson add to the tune-filled fun in this romantic romp."

Was excited about this. Then I read that it will be a BD-R rather than a pressed disc. No sale.
