It's definitely listed as a Vipco release in 1993 (presumably VHS) and cut by 50 secs.

Its on their Cult Classics vhs collection of the 90's, never saw the artwork as someone in the shop sold my hold over by mistake and the shop could never track down another copy.

I had that too, ?3 ex-rental. Have a soft spot for it, on account of the cover-artwork, which was terrible, but somehow great at the same time. I've got the Shriek Show DVD, which is pretty nice.

I'll vote for SPOOKIES as my favourite Vipco, as nobody else has bothered to release this film. Transfer's fine (open-matte), and the film's great.

Have you noticed that all the VIPCO picture cover DVD's are retailing at ?20.

I went into HMV, Zavvi and they had Ferox, Holocaust 1 & 2 and Shogun Ass. all at ?20
Even the indie shops I go to are selling the VIPCO vhs range, cut original's and uncut re release's from a tenner up.
I got the 90's vhs of NOTD for ?10. Crap artwork though.

Yes, all those badly printed Vipco releases are always at a completely unfair price whichever mass-market media store you go into. Cannibal Holocaust and friends all seem to be making a full time job of being manhandled and moved around the horror sections only to be largely invalid of purchase due to the price. Although saying all this, DVD's from the all-around pathetic Dead of Night Collection - Which doesn't seem to exist on the internet - Are at a relatively low price compared to the Vipco DVD's. Roughly ?7 for suggestibly uncut copies of Zombie Flesh Eaters, Zombie Holocaust and all thre rest of the shite I don't care to mention. Although I did pick up copies of largely ignored titles - and for good reason - of: Oliver Twisted, Don't Panic, Dr. Tarrs Torture Dungeon and Eric's Revenge for ?1 - ?2 from Cex scond-hand, which recently has been the place of many of my Video Nasty purchases.

The only uncut UK release of Zombie Flesh Eaters to date is in Anchor Bay's Box of the Banned.

The reason the others are cheaper is because theit RRP was cheaper to start with. When the mainstream stores lose interest in titles they just revert them back to the original RRP which was always too high.
