Those Code Red titles sneaked out of nowhere. Thankfully only wanted Black Candles, although I'm already regretting not picking up A Long Ride From Hell (Anyone seen it? Is it good?). I coupled it with some September titles I'd been meaning to pre-order in time for Halloween. It means my Black Candles will be late, but it'll be worth it to get it alongside Chopping Mall, the two LE VS titles and Salem's Lot (which will probably get a UK release eventually, but I want to watch it this October).

Someone take my credit card away from me. I used my card in the hope by the time the end of September rolls around that the exchange rate will be more favourable.

I was tempted to pre-order the two VS titles, but may order them direct from them during their Black Friday event instead.

The pre order 4 pack has now gone from Diabolik but you can still pre order separately Black Candles, Mission Kill and Moonshine County Express. A Long Ride From Hell has disappeared too.

What's all this fuss about Black Candles? Until Code Red announced it I'd never heard of it.

It's great! Sleaze, satanism and goats courtesy of José Ramón Larraz, director of Symptoms and Vampyres.

Does no one remember watching Black Candles on Channel 4 around about 2000? I'm sure it was a part of their Eurotica series. There was a half hour documentary on Larraz before it too.

All I can remember about it is that it opens with a couple getting killed during sex and that it ( the film) was very sleazy.

Are we talking goat sacrifices or as supporting artistes?
