Default Scars Of Dracula [Blu-ray]

I've just started watching Scars Of Dracula, and already we have had bats, bums, blood and Bob Todd.....

Fear In The Night (1972, Jimmy Sangster)

Judy Geeson needs a rest. Recently recovered from a mental collapse, she marries Ralph Bates and his hair. Joan Collins flits about to little effect, British cinema not really knowing what to do with women ahem. Cushing oozes clarity. You might have guessed I'm quite fond of this as I saw this and Fright very close together and for long enough had welded them together in my head. Fright is a great film also. I digress.

I have it on good authority that 99% of gargoyles look like him

Default Scars Of Dracula [Blu-ray]

Well, I have to say I really enjoyed Scars, a lot more than I thought I would...They do pretty much throw in everything bar the kitchen sink...The most controversial thing which seems to of been the major bone of contention is the quality of the vampire bats..And although I have seen better, they certainly were not as bad as the one in House by The Cemetary...Early on we get a close up of a bat drooling blood over the coffin of Dracula, and it looked pretty cool to me,dripping blood from his furry little face..The other thing I remember people moaning about was the fact that Dracula uses a weapon to stab the woman and beat Patrick Troughton with...so what, what is more a pertinent question is why was it made of rubber...and why does Troughton look like Harry H Corbet from Carry on Screaming when he drinks the potion...Also, this outing gives Chris Lee a lot more to do than just stand around looking menacing, he speaks for a change.Anyhow a very enjoyable Dracula outing that looks luverly on Blu disc.

Well, hello! A rather amusing wee film. Where have you been? Come back to mine and I'll dry your script by the fire ... you must be cold what with all the cheek on show
Recommended if you like a laugh.
A law unto yourself.

Hammer on blu-ray this is not.

Dracula death scenes are never that great but this - a flash of lightning - is the worst. I mean, he's unluckier than that Inspector Abberline fella when it comes to near fatal mishaps.

I thought that it was quite original to zap him with lightning...anyhow this film does seem to divide Hammer fans..
