I'm sorry b_e.
You could have told the postman you didn't want to accept the parcel, and they would have refunded you.

When considering the first run of titles, these upcoming ones are a bit disappointing (except Satan's Slave - but I already own that one).

Know what you mean.

Is Satan's Slave any different to the AB Warren box set version?

Check this out from an earlier post:

SATAN'S SLAVE (1976)

Director: Norman J. Warren
Running Time: 88 mins.

A young girl is caught up in a devil cult run by her evil uncle and cousin. She can trust no one and even people she thought were dead comes back to haunt her. Now for the first time, anywhere in the world, in widescreen in its completely uncut version.

DVD FEATURES:

- Watch this in "Katarina's Nightmare Theater" format with our Hostess Katarina Leigh Waters or Play Feature Only.
- 16x9 widescreen (2.35:1) master of the uncensored uncut version, first time anywhere in the world.
- Interview with composer John Scott.
- Vintage making of featurette.
- Behind the scene featurette.
- Deleted scenes.
- Norman Warren's short film FRAGMENTS.
- Theatrical trailer.

I'm definitely having a copy despite already owning both the ABUK coffin and Amaray sets.

The BCI DVD was the first widescreen US release, but the print was cut. The Anchor Bay UK presented Warren's preferred version with the softer version of the first murder. I imagine that Scorpion's claim of being uncut for the "first time anywhere in the world" means it will be an uncut widescreen version of the harder export version.

The print that Anchor Bay used featured the harder version, so Warren had to substitute the softer version from another lesser print source. It was intended to be included on the disc as a deleted scene. Since the BBFC didn't allow it, I assume they would not have allowed it in the feature either. Scorpion has either had access to the original print supplied to Anchor Bay, or Crown International had another intact element.

I would imagine they got it from the UK since the John Scott interview, deleted scenes (silent and in black and white), and FRAGMENT were featured on the UK disc. The making-of for this and PREY were supposed to be featured on the UK set too (I think it had something to do with the BBC licensing fees).

Can't wait for this disc of Satan's Slave, one of the most forgotten and underrated Brit horrors of the seventies.
Especially now that the ABUK Warren coffin is OOP and crazy money....

I'll be collecting all of these titles....my Satan's Blood arrived the other day.
