Another confirmation that the Opera disc is indeed region free despite saying A on the back, I’m playing it now and my player is set to B by default

Also, looks and sounds fine to me so unless Shameless put out an edition jam packed with extras (doubtful, but you never know), I’ll be sticking with this one

I won't be able to watch Opera until Sunday evening because of work (I want to have a couple of beers whilst watching). Am really looking forward to it. I've just been skipping through the disc for a sneak peek and I did notice some judder in a couple of scenes. It's certainly not a deal breaker but it is a bit of a shame as otherwise, this is by far the best that I have ever seen Opera look. Increased detail and superior colour totally blow away my older Japanese and German blu-rays. :) That judder issue is the only thing that prevents this release from being a truly definitive version. Will be interesting to see if the forthcoming Shameless release looks just as good, and if they do attempt to fix the judder that was inherited from the recent scan of the camera negative.

You can only really notice it on long panning shots, unfortunately Argento loves that kind of shot  Like you say though, it doesn't prevent you from enjoying the disc, it looks miles better than the German one does (which I sold prior to receiving this one) and the sound quality is fine, contrary to what others have said.

Just gone ahead and purchased this along with the coloured vinyl soundtrack of Opera from WOWHD. First time purchaser from this site.

When watching Opera in it's entirety, I watched keenly for judder. Only noticed it on 4 occasions. The long opera house pan around near the start was the longest one, the other 3 moments were extremely brief. So although I mentioned it, I don't actually think that it's a particularly big deal. Very happy with my Scorpion bd. :) As Justin says, it's a huge upgrade over my older blu-rays.

The Sect

Looks like i'll be upgrading my Shameless Blu-ray. Much better colours and detail on the Scorpion release.

Will Scorpion's The Sect blu-ray be region friendly?
