I really hope we see more of this kind of stuff from Arrow in the near future. |

I'm very curious about The Strange case. Is it a horror movie or more of an art house?

The movie is simply ravishing to look at and thanks to Arrow's amazing restoration you can savour every immaculately dressed shot. A lot of comparisons between The Strange Case and Vermeer are made (and with good reason), but to my jaded eyes the silhouetted shot of Mr Hyde sitting at the bottom of the stairs could be a lost Sickert, although I have been told on numerous occasions that I need to get glasses. I haven't delved into the extras, but I did watch an appreciation by Cult Lab's own Mr Michael Brooke. He comes across as agreeable and relaxed, ala Steven Thrower and Kim Newman and I must say that I enjoyed it immensely. He is informative and concise and leaves you wanting to seek out the rest of Borowczyk's work.

Going to be genuinely interested in seeing comparisons. Might even double dip if the quality is improved.
