It's a shame because out of the Arrow Argento releases Phenomenona is one of the better ones. It'd be much better if it was Bird or Inferno which aren't as good for different reasons.

Phenomena isn't one of my favourite Argento films (never will understand why it's quite so popular) but I'll happily upgrade my copy. Cex are offering 11 pounds cash for my current OOP Arrow blu-ray which will go a long way towards the price of the new 4K mastered version. If I was multi-region and had imported the rather expensive Synapse 2K mastered blu-ray, I would feel slightly gutted at this news.

Think I'll stick with my steelbook, it isn't one of my favourite Argento's either so their current release is fine with me

I already bought synapse's release of Phenomena so consider me gutted.... Will probably double dip to see what they do with it.... I held off on Synapses popcorn release but my bank details have an Argento magnet attached apparently.

i was having a scroll through Fran Simeoni's twitter feed and came across this randomly posted poster. its also on his favourite horror film list, one of which was hinted as a future release.

FFS. I need to calm down the importing. Another one I have. Already have the yorga releases double dipped. I must have some kind of problem.

I have to say I'm not really impressed with the possibilty of a 4K Phenomenona, not to say it's a bad film it's just not an Argento I've ever warmed too. When there are still so many Italian films that haven't even had a UK or US DVD release this particular title should be pretty low.

Maybe Arrow have run out of Fulci titles they can license, maybe they don't think they'll sell well enough? If Code Red have got Seven Notes in Black theres a very slim chance of Arrow picking it up for a UK release.
