Modern records sound crap most of the time. You only have to do a google search about the recent Death Waltz records pressings of the two Twin Peaks soundtracks. Can I have a Snap Crackle and Pop

It depends a lot on the pressing plant, not all labels have the same issues.

There just aren't enough of them to meet demand. Sony are supposedly opening new ones up.

I think there's one decent sized one in the UK.

It's a case of churn em out as quick as they can, QC be damned! (Perfect for Arrow really)
