Not really much of a sale is it? When most places have them at this price as standard and if going to buy more than one title better of going with hmv. We will never see sales like they used to have.

It's interesting as to how this sale might do considering the majority of films on offer have just been in a 5 for £30 offer at HMV or sold individually for £6 (£1.50 or more less than Arrow's sale depending on the title) at Fopp.

Pretty sure the last few big sales they had coincided with HMV/ fopp sales. Old sales in stuff used to go OOS quickly , with newer sales never seen it happen


Like 88 stuff i won't buy arrows stuff now on release and will wait for it to go on the HMV 3 for 20 unless it's something like Candyman.

Yeah, they have both shot themselves in the foot with this model and are trying to break away from it with 1st edition slipcovers but if you can save between £6 and £10 off the new release price by just waiting 6 months then why not...

(although I did buy 2 88 Films BDs in the last month on release day )

I buy all the special edition stuff on release, The Last House On The Left, Pieces, Carrie, that sort of thing but I wait for the normal stuff to reach a more palatable price. Candyman will be a day one purchase but The Boondock Saints will have to be in the 5 for £30 for me to even think about it.

88 Films in store pricing is spot on, picked up Bad Dreams in HMV for less than £10.

i notice that a lot of the arrows that were on offer in Hmv have gone back up in price too 2 for £25 now, this is mo st annoying as i wanted too pick up the Black sabbath bluray there.

I didn’t look at the sale before I posted it, but now I have I agree with what everyone is saying. I certainly won’t be buying owt anyway

£10 for Carrie is still too much. I'll be waiting until that hits the £6 mark as well.
