I believe they're both highly recommended in their respective genres so it just depends if you want Japanese female crime boss movies or spaghetti westerns!

The Sartana set sounds as though it is a good one and the original limited edition release is selling for silly money now.

As for the Female Prisoner set the first thing to say is that the four films are fantastic. The problem with the Arrow release is the colour-timing of the films, which looks decidedly unlike any of the previous DVD releases or indeed other Japanese films of that era. From what I can gather Toei provided Arrow with existing HD masters that feature a heavy blue tint which were used on one of the Japanese TV channels. The curious thing is that the accuracy, or I suppose you should say perceived accuracy, of the colour-timing varies from scene to scene so that some scenes are actually relatively close in appearance to the previous DVD releases, and that I suppose merely adds to the confusion.

Cheers. Noticed the silly prices of Sartana so was thinking of getting two and selling the other to ce x as they are giving £80 for it, but as it's not out till end of month price will change by then.

Trying to make vinyl a comeback but at them prices they won't succeed, remember when could buy a whole album for £10 if could do it then why can't they do it now ? I've seen some priced around £45-£50, albums people would most likely have.

It's already made a major comeback over at least 5 years, you go into any hmv or fopp and there's a ton of vinyl same with amazon and musicmagpie

Soundtrack always seem more expensive than regular albums especially when they are given the sort of special treatment they get from the likes of Waxwork Records its big business these days especially when you see how fast some of these soundtracks sell out.

Could that be to do with the number of artists on the album? If it's a record by one band or one person, that's what contract. If it's a compilation, that would probably get a lot more expensive.

Not specifically compilation soundtracks, but for example a Morricone soundtrack for a 70s giallo, but yes, licensing will come into play vs an artists album because the band would already be signed to the record label but a sountrack will have the additional cost of buying the permission to put it out.
