I hadn't seen any of the films until I bought the Blu-ray set from Arrow a couple of years ago I think it may have been now, although I remember they were released on DVD by Artsmagic with apparently poor quality non-anamorphic transfers.

Anyway, I enjoyed all three films and the transfers were very pleasing from what I remember. In some ways they are a little like Hammer films, albeit made with a Japanese cast and crew.

I wish Arrow, or indeed any other decent labels, would release more Japanese films from that era on disc.

I still have the media book but I’ll be picking that up as well.
It looks fantastic.
Maybe Arrow should’ve pursued this one.
