I'm not fussed about them releasing new films. I'm not daft enough to think that a commercial enterprise shouldn't diversify and develop markets. I just think they should have created a new label for the new films as I think they detract from the Arrow Video label mission statement of focusing on cult movies.

Actually got to admit clapboard jungle has my interests with Avi Lerner's name attached, since of all those names that's the one guy who survived the 90's and thrived during the 00's (although that does also involve owing people money and bribing bulgarian officials). It would be interesting if he actually talks about the industry rather than him being just some guy the filmaker tried to sell a pitch to.

Wait forget what i just said. looking at trailer it's just loads (maybe too many looking at the running time) of directors talking same old story about how difficult it is to get a movie made. (i want to hear the story from the other side of the table for a change!)

There is so much over-reaction going on in this thread lately
Like just a few days ago everyone was praising the February line-up.

I don't think that it can be disputed that the direction that Arrow are now going in is markedly different to their previous course.

It's only a few movies they are going to distribute to cinemas next year. They do it every year. The Endless and Lords of Chaos spring to mind as examples.

I doubt anybody could agree about what they expect from Arrow anyway. I bet if you asked everyone on this forum to list a top 5 wish-list for Arrow to release there would be a massive divergence in the the lists (asides The Hitcher and The Blob, which I'm sure would be popular choices). And I bet a good quantity of the lists will be just asking for upgrades (UHD) of previously released stuff (usual suspects Fulci, Argento, Romero, etc...) or things that they can't possibly get the rights to (e.g. The Devils).

I'd just like a constant stream of late sixties / seventies Italian genre cinema.

Nothing more , nothing less.

Anyone who doesn't want this is probably on the wrong forum.
