El Topo for me! I do like Dune, but not enough to update my old blu... unless they can wrangle Jodorowsky's Dune as an extra...

I was wondering why that wasn't in the Jodorowsky box set anyway, it's not had a UK release outside of digital (I don't think). I went to the cinema to watch it and have bought it on iTunes.

I'm definitely buying Dune though, the extra features look interesting, and the UK Blu wasn't up to much.

Suspicious Death Of A Minor sounds like What Have You Done To Your Daughters.

Is El Topo one of those films that is weird and complicated to understand?

Far from being too long and boring I thought it was too short to do the book justice. I think at the time it was criticised for being too complicated, which is perhaps, more of a reflection of the dumbing down of films for 80s audiences and therefore not playing to their expectations of simple action/plots. It will be interesting what approach Villeneuve will take in this respect?

Anyway it was better than Star Wars: Return of the Jedi...

Dune is better than A New Hope too. Or any of the prequel trilogy or two thirds of the Disney trilogy.

El Topo is weird yes, but it's not complicated or difficult. It doesn't have much of a plot, you just follow the gunfighter as he encounters people in the desert.

I'm going to give it my all.
Determined to watch it all.
From what I've seen it's visually stunning.
