I spent £10 on the Universal Studios 4K Ultra HD Release – I think the image quality is excellent and can't fault the DTS-X soundtrack.

I would like the Arrow Video release for the extra features and to see how the 4K restoration of the 1080p picture compares to the unrestored Universal Studios counterpart, but I'm not going to (if you pardon the pun) splash out on a copy. I might do that if there's a cheapish version on eBay or Music Magpie in the not-too-distant future.

I imagine the Arrow Video release looks and sounds amazing when compared to a DVD version.

Some films can be studio led and hugely successful and still be a cult film. I think Joker fits into this category.

I'd also argue this for Tim Burton's version of Batman. The gothic take and edgy violence earn it's stripes in the cult arena but it was also a huge world-wide boxoffice smash.

They are examples of where somehow (against the odds?) studios take a gamble on edgy, leftfield visions that subvert the commercial status quo.

Yeah in a way it's no different from that most cultish of tv series Doctor Who.

13.31 million viewers watching Voyage of the Damned back in 2007 or a very respectable 6.35m watching the most recent Dalek story last New Years Day.

Is it just me, or did Arrow get their ‘standard’ Limited Edition and Arrow Store Limited Editions mixed up?

That slip with the cut out mouth is so much cooler than the other one.

I watched DEATH SCREAMS on Sunday night.
Slow to start with but well worth the wait for the finale.

I really enjoyed it.

And this is what I mean....if Arrow selling more mainstream titles to finance 2k scans of forgotten heehaw budget gems like this, then keep the mainstream coming.

Am i correct in thinking Arrow did insert cards featuring Inglorious Basterds?

If so it seems unlikely as HMV are releasing it as a Cine Edition.

If Arrow didn't give it the postcard treatment then this post is redundant.
