They showed Age of Consent, The Snorkel, Cash on demand, Night tide, Mind of Mr Soames, A Severed Head, Hoffman, Inseminoid and The Terror for definite.

Quite a lot of their Hammer films have shown up on tv lately and were probably on Talking Pictures as well, but because I already owned them i didn't record them so can't say for definite which.

There's also been stuff like Best of the adventures which is a cut and paste overview of the Adventures of a Taxi driver etc that is being featured as an extra on the new boxset.

There's no "connection to Powerhouse" as such, but it's often the case that the same films are available for licensing at the same time for different kinds of media - in fact, it's very much in the rightsholders' interest to make this clear, especially if they've just created a new master whose cost needs recouping.

TPTV clearly has a Sony deal, and I'm assuming a Screenbound one too - and therefore access to the same batch of titles. But Powerhouse has no interest in TV broadcasts, and Talking Pictures TV doesn't run a video label.

I think it probably helps sales though in a way, as many people who may not have heard of a film may watch it randomly on TP channel then look for a collectable version.
Especially seeing as it is generally older people still buying films on disc and TP channel is definitely produced with the older viewer in mind.

Aren't Talking Pictures run by Renown who are a video label? Or vice versa. I have a few Renown releases such as Night Caller.

I've bought Screenbound titles from Arrow's shop in the past.

Guessing they all come from the same Sony distribution center now.

Lots of Kevin Bacon suggestions with Wild Things the favourite.

However, if Arrow wanted to get some cult credibility back this would actually be a more leftfield clue about a bacon slicer which might indicate an unrated release of Naked Vengeance... and pigs (or bacon) might might fly...
