Halloween III never strikes me as a franchise film as it has nothing to do with Halloween II or Halloween 4! There's no Michael Myers and it's basically a stand-alone movie, far removed from the other slasher films in the series.

Troma? Oh well, never mind...

And there's still been no official announcement on these forums, has there? Why is it Arrow sees fit to tell everyone else about their new releases and not us fans who support them? That seems a bit unfair.

EDIT: Ah, I see they've been mostly announced individually. But still, for everyone else to know before us...

I'm really not bothered by the fact Arrow won't be releasing Halloween 3 and Zombie Flesh Eaters.I'm perfectly happy with the Universal DVD of H3, and the Shriek Show/Blue Underground DVDs of ZFE (I'll be getting the BU Blu-ray set at some point).I can't say I'm at all excited about these new releases either, the only one that really sparked my interest was Combat Shock.

Is understand where you are coming from. It would be normal is it was released as just Season of the Witch (wait, stupid decision), but if one movie in the middle of the franchise suddenly gets this magical special edition from a completely different company, it would stick out like a sore thumb.
If you understand where I'm coming from.
Another thing is that it is owned by Universal, so a big company giving a single installment of a big franchise would be odd.
Not that I'm against any of it. If arrow released Halloween 3 I'd be over the moon!!!

Just watched some clips of Combat Shock, including THAT ending.
Absolutely harrowing stuff, and that kind of stuff doesn't really go in my collection, so this wont be purchased by me until I have a stronger mind for this kind of stuff.

Trust me, I love horror films, but I'm not a fan of something bleak without a single happy or funny moment in it, and this just looks grim as ,!!!

Agreed. Dont like going in that end of the pool much either, but I have always rather liked CS for one reason or another.
Plus, at £9 on Arrows site when the pack includes 5 bonus movies, i'd be mad to say no.

I have to say I'm not really impressed by the newly announced titles, I hope the next load are more exciting. There's just a general lack of Euro Cult titles and Troma, c'mon do these really need a UK release? Just my opinion but very disapointing titles from Arrow, I hope Shameless can get back on track with their next 'new' release.
