30 pound for customized, or hell even just that regularly, i could have done.

But 50, thats $90 AUD! For someone without a job, i can't pay that. There's so much else to get with that money.

Hope i can look past my desire for a complete Arrow collection, by considering the personlization aspect not a standard release.

Plus i imagine the regular release would be the same bar the big book?

I can certainly see them releasing a standard edition once the limited versions sell out.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a great set for fans, of which I am not tbh.

So far, the only title I'm interested in is the Incredible Melting Man, but even that is a push and will only be bought when the price drops

I'm choosing to think that it's marketed only at hardcore fans and is not for blind buying.

If both movies are on the regular release than i am more than content passing this up. Which is a first for me when it comes to Arrow.

The Visitor and Melting Man on the other hand, fantastic!

Yes, the other titles announced for the Autumn are The Incredible Melting Man and The Visitor, both of which I'll probably pick up.

Also, Jules Dassin's The Naked City is coming in October from Arrow Academy:

Quote:
New high definition digital transfer of the film
High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) and Standard Definition DVD presentation
Original mono 1.0 audio (uncompressed PCM on the Blu-ray)
Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired
Audio commentary by screenwriter Malvin Wald
Jules Dassin at LACMA – a 40-minute interview with Bruce Goldstein in which the director discusses his career
The Hollywood Ten – a 1950 documentary short on the ten filmmakers blacklisted from Hollywood for their refusal to name names before the House of Un-American Activities, including The Naked City’s screenwriter, Albert Maltz
Gallery of production stills by infamous photojournalist Weegee
Theatrical trailer
Reversible sleeve featuring the original poster and newly commissioned artwork by Vladimir Zimakov
Collector’s booklet containing new writing on the film by Alastair Philips, Barry Salt and Sergio Angelini, illustrated with original production stills

I shouldn't need to wait until this sells out.

No, quite right. Unfortunately that's the general business model regarding limited editions these days unfortunately (Arrow's Phibes set, Synapse's Demons releases etc.).

I suppose you can see the sense in it from the company's point of view; obviously limited sets cost more to produce, and are generally more likely to attract the consumer and collectors so they will shift more units of a higher value higher return product if it is the only option at the time.

I have no interest in With nail whatsoever, however Melting Man and The Visitor I do. So November should include Nekromantik and Nightmare City. Shame there's no additional news on Rabid Dogs...

Exactly. I was just gonna say that I bet a lot of people felt that way about Synapse's Demons release.
