Missing on the Arrow version is Dr. Linksy pushing Mr. Tudor against the refrigerator and saying "Get off me".

The scene where Mr. Tudor is shown shoving the parasites into Dr. Linsky's mouth has been shortened by about 4-5 seconds on the Arrow version. What is missing is the beginning of this scene which shows Tudor pulling the parasites off of Dr. Linsky's face and trying to put them in his own mouth. Tudor then takes the parasites from his mouth and is shown shoving them into Dr. Linsky's mouth.

Okay I can't even remember seeing this extra footage and can't find it online, so for anyone who knows the film better than I do is it a significant change because the steelbook doesn't look noticeably cut

This is one of the films i first asked Arrow to release when we all played about with arrow blu ray covers. they have done another fantastic job with art work and so on.

Watched SHIVERS today. Really happy with the print. Shame about the cut scene which seems to be mentioned everywhere.
There are also cuts to the beginning of the film. The opening up of the stomach on the girl is shorter as is the throat cut.

Guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens now.

Bah !

Haven't read about those earlier cuts - what release are you comparing it to?
My order was despatched a few days ago, but instead of getting more excited, I'm getting more dissappointed. Early Cronenberg is very special to me, for a number of reasons, so was hoping for a near flawless release. I hope it's a case of damaged elements, and not some sort of editing.

Thanks Dave Boy.
I had a look around, and noticed that the R1 DVD is called 'The Directors Cut' - I wonder if the cuts were made then, or more likely, if that was extra footage that was reinstated?

I wonder if Arrow's Nekromantik will have this fine artwork like the recent US release.
