Thought the expensive and poor selling Naschy titles helped do away with BCI?

I personally think Code Red and Scorpion are the closest we'll get to blu ray equivalents, but sadly between Code Red and Arrow, I never really get the chance to spend on other labels like Grindhouse and Scoprion especially, but also Scream, Severin, Synapse etc.

I'm region locked, so my only cult labels ATM are the widely available one's from the UK (Arrow, Second Sight, 88, Shameless etc) and region free tiles from the likes of Synapse and Blue Underground.

The only massively region locked labels I believe are Scream Factory and Criterion. Most of the others may have one or two depending on rights, but otherwise are Region Free.

Criterion, Drafthouse, and Scream Factory for some reason region lock all their titles.

Like I said, deep catalogue with very little broad appeal, sadly.

Criterion, Kino, Mill Creek and Shout! have to lock discs because of the licencing agreements each has with the majors that licence the titles (Sony, Fox, MGM and Universal mostly but Criterion also has a deal with Paramount and Mill Creek with Disney).

Twilight Time's 100+ title library is region free with the exception of two titles (THE DISAPPEARANCE and HEAVEN AND EARTH) which were locked at the behest of the licensors (Icon and Warner Bros.).

Ah didn't know Kino and Mill Creek. Mill Creek I only have one title of and assumed it was a one off locking. Their transfer of Happy Birthday to Me was fantastic, top movie as well

They've done a fair few of those doubles and they're all legitimate.

You should look into Kino - the Studio Classics line has unearthed some decent titles - THE PARTY, THE OFFENCE, GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, JUGGERNAUT, LAST EMBRACE among many others.

I have heard from a very good source that Arrow are going to release Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive on Blu-ray.

Interesting, a better film than TCM 2 in my book.
