Dvdcompare.net have a fantastic review up of The Strange Case. I watched it again with a friend yesterday and IMO, it may only be May, but I can't see anything else topping this release this year. 10/10.

From Twitter, Videodrome has been rated uncut by the BBFC.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the UK LaserDisc that I owned (on the Pioneer label) was the uncut version of the film - and that was issued way back in 1996/1997. Not quite sure why Arrow is making a song and dance about it now, twenty years after the fact

Just checked the BBFC and cannot find an entry for the Pioneer release - they would have been required to resubmit because it was longer than the VHS versions (the rental release was butchered by the distributor, the sell-thru was the uncut R-rated version, if memory serves) and also the first time the film had been issued in widescreen. Odd.

Note LD is billed as "the Director's Cut".

I'm sure you're right, but why let the facts get in the way of a good (marketing) story?!
