I've ordered a few things from them online and they've been really good so far - better than Amazon in as much as you don't have to order as much to get free shipping and they usually dispatch on the Friday so I've been receiving the packages on the Monday (release day) rather than the Wednesday/Thursday as per Amazon... not that I'm too bothered about earlier delivery as I rarely watch a release the day I receive it anyway but it's still a bonus.

Like you, I can't remember the last thing I bought on the day it arrived so, due to Quidco cashback, Pure Points and the dubious business practices in Amazon's warehouses, I'll use HMV a lot more from now on.

Guys is it true that Arrow are having a black friday sale? i'm not in the loop so if they do could someone let the forum know so i don't miss out?

Biz i hate to be as stupid as folks think i am but is that this friday? the thing is amazon have black friday sales on mondays? so im confused?

Yes, Black Friday is this coming Friday... Amazon are doing a Black Friday sales week though (with deals cropping up every day this week). This culminates in Cyber Monday which is next Monday and is another big day for sales... then not long after that the Xmas sales start.

Basically you've got to be careful as sometimes a deal isn't as good as it initially appears... a lot of the stuff Amazon includes in the sale will either crop up again (sometimes cheaper) throughout the Black Friday week or also very common their sales price isn't as cheap as the item may have been throughout the year. Zavvi have also been known to increase their prices before a sale to then decrease them again to make it look like you're getting a bargain.

I think most of my money will be going to Eureka and Arrow direct this year (unless Network have another sale which I doubt). There is rarely anything in Amazon's Black Friday deals to tempt me.
