Right I'm with you mate. See in my experience most genuine av enthusiasts know enough to understand, what it is and why film grain is there. The ones that usually whinge about it just see it as a defect or a fault in the film stock and don't understand it. Paradoxically i get it, enough to not moan anyway, but i don't actually like grain much at all.

Strange you should say that as I noticed that the grain wasn't very evident - not to a fault, but I'd expected more grain. The transfer is spot on though, I don't have a problem with it.

Not sure where this grain is you're seeing? http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/screen...768&position=2

That image shows grain, but it is fine and natural looking which is what you'd expect, I think it looks really nice

AV, DNR, what a load of cobblers.

I do appreciate people's concerns though.

I watched a copy of Drive-In Massacre last night which looked like it had been found in a toilet bowl and then not bothered to wipe the shit off it before transferring it to disc. Didn't stop me enjoying it though.

Nothing as high class as that i'm afraid.

Mill Creek all the way. I only bought the set a couple of years ago for Point of Terror and Bloody Pit of Horror, both of which look splendid i should add.

I only ask because I was going to buy Stephen King's Storm of the Century recently and not only was the American version all on one disc (4hrs+) it came with a bonus 12 movies and they were on a second disc in the set

I decided against buying that and as a result I'm still trying to track down a UK 2 disc version without having to pay £20 for the pleasure!

Storm of the Century is superb.

Had it been based on a book and not written for tv it would have made my top 10 for this week's top 10 Tuesday category.
