Whilst not a massive Craven fan I'd rate Hills among his best.

My favourite of his remains The People Under the Stairs though - I absolutely love it!

Wes Craven certainly left behind a varied and impressive collection of films, from gruelling 'ordeal' horrors (Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes) to traditional slashers (Nightmare on Elm Street), interesting low-budget films (The People under the Stairs), well crafted mainstream thrillers (Red Eye) and genre-bending 'meta' horrors (New Nightmare, Scream).

In terms of his best film or your personal favourite, fortunately I don't think there is a chance of a wrong answer.

Don't forget that leg floating down, too!

I first watched Jaws one evening after school. My Mum let me eat my tea whilst watching it....needless to say, I didn't eat very much.

He also had a go at doing a mainstream drama with Music of the Heart, a film which I really enjoyed. It's hard to think of your favourite Craven film because his output is so varied that you could easily pick one from each sub genre!

As for Hills... I do really like it, I only saw it for the first time last October when I had my horror marathon and i'd seen it almost back to back with TCM so I felt quite emotionally drained afterwards. It was exciting but I don't think it's one of his best films, I really love Scream/Scream 4 and Serpent and the Rainbow, also The People Under the Stairs.

As Nos says though, there is almost no wrong answer!

I think a persons enjoyment of Scream 4 hinges entirely on whether they like Emma Roberts or not, I personally LOVE her to bits and therefore I loved the film. I could watch an Emma Roberts film every day of my life

There is an answer to Wes Cravens worst film - Shocker.
Remember thinking it was terrible at the time, or Hills 2.
