You're not sure? Blimey.

I meant is it even a genuine sale. Obviously he's taking the piss either way.

I think he is satirising scalpers on the very forum they use for selling, so is trying to make a point rather than sell anything.

Oh man... so clever of them not to put it on their site, so you can't get points

After not getting any reply from my question on Friday, I asked them directly on FaceBook:

"Hi guys. When you announced on Friday that you were going to be releasing the Herschell Gordon Lewis 'shock and gore' box set, I asked you how I can redeem the Arrow points that I have gained by buying things direct from the Arrow shop. I must have missed your answer to my question, so I'm sorry but I have to ask it again: "How can I redeem the Arrow points that I have gained from buying direct from you (and giving you my money direct) so that I can get the HGL box set?". I know that this is a very limited edition release, and I do not want to miss out on it, so please let me know what I need to do to be able to use my Arrow points. Thanks in advance"

That was over an hour ago, and I have not had any reply from them.

I'm starting to think that Arrow are treating their fans with contempt over this!

To be fair I'm finding their CS to be a bit lacking of late, I asked them 4 times when they were getting stock of a film I had pre-ordered and was already available in the shops, a week after it was released and still having no reply to my question I cancelled my order and bought it in HMV where it was cheaper as well.

In regards to redeeming points I think they have purposely put this on it's own webstore with no points because they don't want people redeeming their points against it. It's clearly and expensive item to manufacture.

Hi Michael - I see you are once again allowing the Criterion Forum to allow abuse of me. Being that one comment insinuates I am the same person as Bill Olsen (after a discussion which mentions Olsen's "thinly veiled racism") I am sure would agree this is unacceptable. As is your assumption I find you "pure evil" (I find you nothing of the sort!) Or the idea you are subject to my online attacks (can you show me these? I am curious).

I will repeat again: I (not you) got abused and hurt by your current employers and have a right to state how and why this took place. I am glad to see Arrow no longer using my work and if this continues all is fine -despite the obvious hurt Naomi and I felt as we were told by Fran we were simply not of your level due to your lofty BFI association. Whilst I still feel this was classist and unacceptable I find your own muck raising on a forum where I am not registered and therefore have no ability to defend myself really unfair.

Shouldn't this be on the criterion forum?

Sorry if i'm treading on Mods toes here, but the only time i see you post its to whine about something and it ends up derailing the thread.

I have neither the time nor interest to engage in an online catty flame war (which this won't turn into - I have no interest in disparaging Michael). And my internet here is frankly not the best. I am glad Michael says I am "easy to ignore" - ditto for his good self - but this is the sort of abuse he is allowing under his moderation whilst working for a label I did everything within my power and abilities to establish. Am I hurt? Bloody right. It is really unfair. As an aside when I worked for Arrow I never dared say a word about anyone.
