I am genuinely and absolutely astounded that people can see The Evil Dead as anything other than a horror-comedy.

Oh well!

I'm hoping the Euro Crime is Benditi Milano. Great film.
Well, we were told initially that 'Hopefully', they would be announced 'Later this month' and as there's now only two days left of this month, then it could well be today, or tomorrow...or neither by the looks of it, as I would of thought Sarah would have teased us some more by now...

I don't know what you're talking about, Evil Dead is totally serious! And as for Bruce Campbell vs. The Army of Darkness, can there be a more straight-faced and serious film?!

I wasn't laughing when I first watched The Evil Dead via the Palace VHS.It was one of a handful of horror flicks that genuinely scared me on first viewing.Watching it now I can appreciate the black humour in it, and it's a favourite of mine.I didn't enjoy either of the sequels as much because of the comedic elements. However, I did enjoy Re-Animator, Bad Taste, Braindead and Return of the Living Dead which could be classed as horror comedies.
